ACADEMICS

"Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments." Psalm 119:66

Curriculum

Math

K-5 will facilitate The Good and the Beautiful Math curriculum.

In Grades 6-12, we will be using Saxon math or CTC math (parent choice). Placement tests will be used to ensure your student is exactly where they need to be.

All grades will be supplementing with facilitator chosen material. Using supplemental material allows students to be challenged or retaught when needed to ensure continued growth. We want students to think at a deeper level, ask questions and understand the "Why" behind their learning through real life problem solving.

Language Arts & Reading

Grades K-12 will be using The Good and Beautiful curriculum.  The curriculum is challenging, engaging and integrates other subjects such  geography and cultural learning.

Other courses like handwriting and typing will also be used.

Other

Other subject areas such as Bible, Spanish, science, art, and history will be integrated using the Bible, The Good and the Beautiful and other resources.

Students will be learning in person Monday through Thursday, allowing families more time throughout the week to prioritize one another.

Serving opportunities and field trips may fit within these four days, but they may also be on Fridays and weekends (depending on the activity) so families can join together if/when they are available. We desire to do as many activities together as families as possible.

We are excited about the potential of our older students being able to spend one day a week at Philip Foster Farm in the spring utilizing the school house on the property and leading "Oregon Trail Life" tours for guests. More information to come.
